Contact support and get container alerts on WeCom (WeChat Work)
Bind your WeCom account once with a one-time code from the portal, then ask about your containers and receive pickup, last-free-day, and appointment alerts right in WeCom.
If your team already talks to us on WeCom (WeChat Work), you can keep doing everything there: ask where a container is, and get notified when it can be picked up, when a free day is about to run out, or when an appointment is confirmed. One short binding step comes first, so that only your own company’s containers are ever shown to you.
1. Bind your WeCom account (one time)#
- Log in to the customer portal, open Profile → WeCom binding, and generate a one-time binding code. The code is valid for 10 minutes and can be used only once.
- Open our customer-service chat in WeCom and send the code as a message by itself. You will get a “binding complete” reply.
- If the code has expired, just generate a new one in the portal and send that instead. Codes are never shared with anyone else — anyone with the code could bind as your company, so treat it like a password.
Docklify feature used here: the portal binding code is how the system knows a WeCom account belongs to your company — the same account scope that limits what you can see in the portal (Drayage → Tracking).
2. Ask about a container in WeCom#
- After binding, just send the container number (11 characters, e.g. ABCD1234567) in the same chat. You will get the latest recorded status: ETA, terminal last free day, carrier last free day, any hold, and whether it can be picked up.
- Every status reply ends with a “Data as of” time — when the status was last updated. Check it before decisions like sending a truck. If live tracking is not connected for a container yet, the reply says so plainly.
- Before binding, the chat still reaches our team as a normal service request, but no container data can be looked up — binding is what unlocks lookups, for your protection.
3. Alerts we send you#
- Pickup available: as soon as a container is recorded as available for pickup, you get a message with the available time and both last free days.
- Last free day approaching: a reminder before the earlier of the terminal and carrier last free days runs out, listing both dates separately so you can plan pickup or return.
- Appointment result: when a terminal appointment is confirmed, you get the appointment time and number; if it is not confirmed yet, you get a short note saying we are still following up.
- Delivery note: chat alerts can only be delivered while the conversation window is open (shortly after you last messaged us). If a message cannot be delivered, our team follows up through your usual contact channel — and you can always re-check status in the portal.
4. Questions that go to a person#
Questions about fees, bills, refunds, or cargo damage are always handled by a person in this channel too. You will get a short acknowledgement, and a specialist will follow up — automated messages never confirm amounts or outcomes.
Docklify features used in this article#
- Customer portal → Profile → WeCom binding: generate the one-time binding code.
- Portal → Drayage → Tracking: the same container records and data times quoted in chat.
- Support tickets: every WeCom conversation is kept as a service request you and our team can refer back to.
