Create and submit a customs declaration
Import and export declarations: new → edit → submit → withdraw. Status flow draft → submitted → inspecting → released → completed, in plain language.
A customs declaration is the "ID card" of your shipment at the border. It tells customs what the goods are, where they come from, who owns them, and how much tax is owed. Without it, the cargo sits at the port. With it approved (released), the truck can pick up the goods.
The status flow#
Create a declaration in 5 steps#
- Open Customs → Declarations → New. Pick the type: Import or Export.
- Fill in the header: client (importer or exporter), transport mode, port of loading / discharge, ETA, Incoterms (the trade term like FOB or CIF), currency and total value.
- Add line items: HS code, product name, quantity, unit, unit price, country of origin, duty rate. One row per product.
- Attach the document package (invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificates). The system blocks submission if a required document is missing.
- Click Submit. The status moves to Submitted; from here customs may ask for an inspection (see the Inspections guide).
