Rate Shopping Has Moved: Settings Now Live in Master Data

Last updated 2026-10-27

The rate shopping setup that used to live under LabelFlow now lives in Master Data — carriers and services, carrier accounts, and the comparison rules each have one home there. This article points you to the right pages.

Rate shopping is no longer set up inside LabelFlow. The old LabelFlow → Rate Shopping page has been retired — opening its address now takes you straight to the new home, Master Data → Rate Shopping (/master-data/rate-shopping). Nothing you had configured is lost: the carriers and services you defined here were carried over, and LabelFlow shipments still show their rate options and buy labels the same way. Only the place where you maintain the setup has changed, because the same comparison rules are also used when shipping from OMS and the WMS packing station — one shared home in Master Data keeps every app reading the same settings.

Where each thing lives now#

  • Carriers and their services — Master Data → Carriers (/master-data/carriers): the carrier profiles and the service list under each carrier (the services your shipments can compare and buy).
  • Carrier accounts — Master Data → Carrier Accounts (/master-data/carrier-accounts): the accounts labels are bought through, with their credentials. LabelFlow’s own merchant billing accounts stay in LabelFlow → Accounts — only the shared shipping accounts moved.
  • The comparison rules — Master Data → Rate Shopping (/master-data/rate-shopping): whether orders compare rates at all, the three scopes (everyone / one customer / one customer + one channel), the accounts that take part, and how the rate is picked. The full how-to is in the article “Rate Shopping Settings” under Master Data.

What did not move: merchant markups and rates still live in LabelFlow → Markups & Rates, and shipments, labels, wallets and invoices stay exactly where they were in LabelFlow. When a shipment’s rate option you expect is missing, the setup to check is now the carrier’s service list in Master Data → Carriers and the comparison rules in Master Data → Rate Shopping.
