Warehouse Settings: Notifications, Late Reporting, and Gate Rules

Last updated 2026-10-31

Use the Settings page in your warehouse console to set appointment notification emails, the late-report options drivers can pick, and how your gate handles walk-ins and self check-in.

Beyond team members and approval, the Settings page in your warehouse console holds three groups of everyday settings covered in this article: appointment notification emails, driver late-report options, and gate and walk-in rules. Two related topics live elsewhere: for members and the three team roles, see the Team roles section in “Account and password”; for the automatic approval switch, see “Auto-Approval”.

Appointment notification emails#

In the “Appointment notification emails” field, enter the addresses that should receive email updates about appointment activity. If you list more than one address, separate them with commas.

Driver late-report options#

The “Driver late-report options” field sets the delay lengths, in minutes, that a driver can choose when reporting late from the check-in link. Enter your own list separated by commas — for example, 15, 30, 60, 120. The options you set here are the same late choices the carrier sees in the appointment help when a driver reports a delay, so keep them realistic for your dock.

Gate and walk-ins#

  • Walk-ins without an appointment: choose “Allow walk-ins” to allow walk-ins, so the gate can create a same-day appointment on the spot for a driver who arrives without one; or choose “Appointment only” for appointment only, so the gate does not create same-day appointments.
  • Phone verification on self check-in: set this to “Off” to turn phone verification off, “Optional” to make it optional, or “Required” to make it required during self check-in.
  • Pending verification expiry (hours): enter a value from 1 to 168 hours. Queued items waiting for verification for longer than this are flagged as expired for the gate team.

You will also find an upgrade entry at the bottom of the Settings page if you need more than the free plan.

After you change these settings#

These settings shape the day-to-day experience of driver check-in and gate work: who hears about appointment activity, which delays a driver can report, and how the gate handles arrivals. Think through the impact before you change a value, and keep an eye on the first day afterwards to see how the new setting plays out in practice.
