Pick path: watch the order get picked, in 3D
Type an order number and the system draws the pick route — glowing line, numbered stops, camera fly-through, and an estimated travel distance for the supervisor.
The pick path turns an abstract pick task into something you can see: enter an order number (or pick from the pending pick-task list), and the system draws the route through the 3D warehouse in pick sequence — a glowing line with a floating number badge (1, 2, 3…) at every stop.
How to use it, in three steps#
- In the 3D visualization page, open the Pick path panel and type the order number — or pick a task from the pending pick-task list.
- The system pulls the pick lines and their sequence from WMS, maps each SKU to its bin, and draws the route. Stops are numbered so a picker can follow 1 → 2 → 3 without thinking.
- Press Play: the camera tours the route automatically, stop by stop. Pause, drag, or zoom any time — it is your preview.
What the estimated distance means#
The panel shows an estimated pick travel distance in meters. It is the length of the drawn route — not a stopwatch measurement, and it does not include the time spent at each stop. Supervisors use it to judge whether a wave or order plan is sensible: if two orders have similar lines but one route is twice as long, the slotting or the wave grouping probably needs a rethink.
