HS classification lookup: find the right code for your product

Last updated 2026-10-16

Type product name keywords, get recommended HS codes with duty rates. The system remembers your last choice per client + product.

The HS code is the international "ID number" of a product — 6 digits, same everywhere in the world. Customs uses it to decide how much duty you pay. Pick the wrong code and you either overpay or get a fine. So getting the code right is the most valuable 2 minutes of a declaration.

How to look up a code#

  1. Open Customs → HS Classification. Type keywords of the product name (e.g. "stainless steel water bottle").
  2. Pick from the recommended codes. Each shows the 6-digit code, description, import duty rate, and VAT rate for the destination country.
  3. The system saves your choice. Next time the same client ships the same product name, the code fills in automatically.
HS codes shown here are reference suggestions, not legal rulings. For high-duty or regulated products, confirm with your customs broker before filing.
