Driver app: one screen per stop, POD, voice, and offline
Start of day, one-screen-per-stop focus mode, photo/signature/scan POD, voice announcements, and offline-first sync.
Start and end of day#
Start of day shows a route card (stops, parcels, estimated hours/km, COD to collect). Do the vehicle check (tires/lights/brakes/fuel + photo) first — the [Start] button unlocks after it. Starting begins GPS reporting and a voice greeting. End of day lists unfinished stops, confirms COD handover, and shows today’s summary.
One screen per stop#
Each stop is one focused screen: progress bar, contact with tap-to-call, address, time window, parcel count, special instructions. [Arrive] is suggested by a 200 m geofence; the driver confirms (avoids GPS drift false taps). Swipe or tap for previous/next stop.
POD: photo, signature, scan#
- Photo: parcel at the door/desk, auto-watermarked with time + GPS.
- Signature: on-screen canvas signature.
- Scan: scan the waybill barcode to prove “right parcel, right stop”.
Voice announcements#
Built-in text-to-speech needs no network: turn-by-turn navigation, next-stop preview, arrival reminders, route updates, new orders, and LIFO “unload first, then load” prompts. Four priority levels; urgent alerts interrupt. Configure on/off, speed, and language in Voice settings.
Offline first#
Tasks, POD photos, exceptions, and COD records all work offline and sync in order when the network returns (idempotent — no duplicates). If dispatch changed the route while you were offline, the app asks “Route updated, accept?” with the server version winning.
