LabelFlow Labels: Label Inventory and Reprinting
Every shipping label bought in LabelFlow lands on the Labels page as a permanent record — tracking number, merchant, carrier, carrier cost, amount charged and profit. Filter by merchant, carrier, date or tracking number, read the totals, and find any past label again in seconds.
The Labels page in LabelFlow → Labels (/labelflow/labels) is the ledger of your label business: one row for every label a merchant has bought, showing what the carrier charged you, what you charged the merchant, and the profit in between. Labels themselves are bought from a shipment — see LabelFlow → Shipments, where you pick a rate and print — and the moment a label is bought, its record appears here and the amount is taken from the merchant’s wallet. This page does not sell or edit labels; it keeps the books, so any label can be found and checked again later.
Step 1: Find a label#
- Open LabelFlow → Labels. The newest labels are listed first.
- Narrow the list with the filters on top: pick a merchant, pick a carrier (UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL or Other), and/or set a From and To date.
- If you have the tracking number, type it into the “Search tracking no.” box — a partial number is enough — then click Search.
- Click Reset to clear all filters and see the full list again.
The four cards above the table always add up the labels currently shown: how many labels, the total carrier cost, the total merchant revenue and the total profit. Filter to one merchant and one month, and those four numbers are that merchant’s month — the same figures the LabelFlow → Dashboard rolls up for the current month automatically.
Reading a row: cost, charged and profit#
- Tracking no. — the carrier tracking number of the label; this is the number you search by and the number the end customer tracks.
- Merchant, Carrier and Service — who bought the label, which carrier carries it, and which service level was bought.
- Carrier cost — what the carrier charged you for this label. Charged — what was taken from the merchant’s wallet for it. Profit is simply Charged minus Carrier cost.
- Status and Time — the label’s current status and when it was bought. The same history, limited to one merchant, also appears on that merchant’s detail page under its Labels tab (LabelFlow → Merchants → open the merchant).
When a printed label is lost or damaged: find the record again#
- Search the tracking number on LabelFlow → Labels (or filter by the merchant plus the date the label was bought).
- Check the row: confirm the carrier, the service and the status, so you know exactly which label was bought for that parcel.
- Open the matching shipment in LabelFlow → Shipments → open the shipment: its Label info card shows the same tracking number together with the carrier cost and the amount charged, so the reprint and the paperwork can be checked against the original purchase.
Month-end check: one merchant, one month#
- Filter by the merchant and set From to the first day of the month and To to the last day.
- Read the four cards: label count, carrier cost, merchant revenue and profit are the merchant’s month in LabelFlow — revenue is what came out of their wallet for labels, profit is what the label business earned on top of carrier cost.
- If the merchant questions a single charge, search its tracking number and walk the row with them: carrier cost is the carrier’s price, charged is what the markup rules made of it (LabelFlow → Markups & Rates), and the difference is the profit on that one label.
