Reports: AR aging, profit & loss, balance sheet, and 3PL billing tables

Last updated 2026-10-14

Read AR aging to chase money, profit & loss to see profit, and balance sheet to see what the business owns and owes; the /billing area reuses the 3PL billing rate tables.

Reports are summaries for decision-makers. AR aging shows who owes you and how late; profit & loss shows whether the business made money over a period; the balance sheet shows what the business owns and owes at one point in time. The /billing area in Accounting reuses the same rate tables as 3PL billing.

The three reports#

  • AR aging: unpaid AR invoices grouped by how overdue they are (e.g. current, 1–30 days, 31–60, 60+). Your collection to-do list — start with the oldest bucket.
  • Profit & loss: revenue minus expenses over a period — the bottom line tells you if the business made or lost money.
  • Balance sheet: a snapshot at one moment — what the business owns (assets) versus what it owes (liabilities); the difference is equity.

The /billing area reuses 3PL rate tables#

  • Billing items (chargeable services), rate sheets (price lists), and merchant billing rules live in the same wms_* tables the WMS billing engine uses — one shared data source, two entry points.
  • Edit a rate sheet in Accounting and the next 3PL statement generated in WMS uses it — change once, use everywhere.
Generated 3PL merchant statements (MINV-) do not post into AR automatically — the statement-to-AR link is not implemented. Reconcile the statement, then create the AR invoice by hand.
Start your Monday with the AR aging report: money that is 60+ days overdue is the most expensive money you have — it is already spent in your plans.
