AI product scene images: studio shots without the studio

Last updated 2026-10-16

Turn a plain product photo into a lifestyle scene image right inside the product file — no switching apps, no photoshoots. Pick a photo, remove the background, choose a template, confirm the cost, and archive it in six steps.

Good listing images sell. But hiring a photographer for every SKU — or bouncing between Photoroom-style apps, downloads and re-uploads — is slow and expensive. AI scene images live inside the product file: the photo you already have becomes a beach shot, a cozy living room, or an Amazon-white-background main image, and the result goes straight into the product image library, ready to push to Amazon, Shopify, TikTok and more.

Everything happens in one place: Master Data → product details → "AI scene images". Select the photo, generate, archive and push to sales channels — no app-switching, no manual downloads.

Six steps, one image#

  1. Pick a source photo: choose one from the product image library. Photos with no background work best — the system automatically marks background-free ones as "recommended".
  2. Remove the background (optional): one tap strips the background with a before/after preview. Not happy with the cutout? Keep the original photo and move on.
  3. Pick a template: filter by product category, then by sales platform, and choose a template card — each card shows a small sample of the look you will get. You can also edit the description in your own words; it applies to this generation only.
  4. Confirm the cost: a popup shows the estimated Token cost and the dollar amount for this generation, plus your current balance. Tap confirm — the estimated Tokens are frozen first (like a hotel pre-authorization). If the balance is too low, the button is greyed out and you will be guided to top up.
  5. Generate: the job runs in the background and takes about 30–60 seconds. You will get 2–4 candidate images from the same description — swipe to compare them side by side.
  6. Archive: pick the one you like — it is saved into the product image library with an "AI generated" badge and a name like AI_template name_date, recording the template and Tokens spent. Unpicked candidates are cleaned up automatically. Optional: push it straight to a sales channel as a listing image.

How billing works: estimate first, pay for what is made#

  • Charged from your AI token pack: every image generation draws from the same AI token top-up pack you already use for other AI features — no separate wallet, no surprise bill.
  • You always see the estimate first: before anything runs, a popup shows "this generation will consume about X Tokens ($XXX)" plus your current balance. Nothing is generated until you confirm.
  • Frozen, then settled: on confirm, the estimated Tokens are frozen; when generation succeeds, the freeze turns into the actual charge — based on how many images were really made (fewer successes = fewer Tokens charged).
  • Failed generation costs nothing: if the job fails or times out, the freeze is released automatically and you see "no Tokens consumed this time". Background removal is included in the same estimate — one popup, one number.
  • No overdraft, ever: if your balance cannot cover the estimate, generation is blocked with a clear "insufficient balance" message and a shortcut to top up.
  • Every charge is traceable: the usage log records each image — template used and Tokens spent — so you can always check where your Tokens went.

Templates: 8 categories × 5 platforms#

About 90–110 ready-made templates cover the full matrix: 8 product categories × 5 sales platforms, 2–3 looks per combination, in Chinese and English. Each platform has its own rules baked in — an Amazon template and a TikTok template for the same product look nothing alike, on purpose.

  • The 8 categories: apparel & bags · 3C electronics · home & daily · beauty & personal care · baby & kids · outdoor & sports · pets · food.
  • The 5 platforms: Amazon (pure-white main image, strict compliance) · Shopify (brand look: dark, minimal, storytelling) · TikTok Shop (vertical 1080×1920 covers that grab attention) · Shein (fast-fashion collage, high saturation) · Temu (value feel, real-shot multi-angle).
  • Template names read like "Amazon apparel white-background standard" or "TikTok beauty try-on" — platform + category + scene, so you can tell at a glance.
Amazon main-image rules are strict: the main image must be pure white background (RGB 255,255,255), the product must fill at least 85% of the frame, and there must be no watermark, no text and no props. Amazon templates follow these rules by default. AI scene images with backgrounds are best used as secondary images or A+ content — check the template’s "suitable for" label before pushing to a listing.

FAQ#

  • If generation fails, do I still pay? No. The frozen Tokens are released automatically and you see "no Tokens consumed this time". The system only charges for images that were actually made.
  • It made 4 candidates but I only kept 1 — why am I charged for 4? Billing is per image generated, not per image kept: the AI cost happens the moment images are created, whether you keep them or not. This is how the industry does it (Photoroom, Pebblely and the like). The confirmation popup always tells you the count up front.
  • Will the "AI generated" badge appear on my image? No. The badge only shows inside the system (product image library, image details) — it is never burned into the image pixels. Your Amazon main image stays pure white, watermark-free, exactly as the rules require.
  • What happens to candidates I did not pick? They are cleaned up automatically — only the image you archive stays in the product library.
  • How long does it take? About 30–60 seconds per generation. You can keep working — the result waits for you in the product image area.
  • Can I write my own scene description instead of using a template? Yes. Pick any template as a starting point, then rewrite the description in your own words — it applies to this generation only. (Saving it as your own reusable template comes in a later release.)
  • Can the generated image go straight to my Amazon/Shopify listing? Yes. Once archived in the product image library, it appears as a selectable image when you push product images to a sales channel.
  • Can I use AI scene images as my Amazon main image? Only the pure-white-background templates. Amazon requires the main image to truthfully show the product on a pure white background with no watermark, text or props. Scene images with backgrounds belong in secondary images and A+ content — the template tells you where each one fits.

Start with one product and one white-background template — see the result, check the Token charge in the usage log, then scale to the rest of your catalog.
