Check your container status by email or with the portal assistant
Ask about your own container by email or in the portal assistant: ETA, both last free days, holds, and pickup availability — every answer shows the time the data is from.
You do not need to wait for a person to find out where your container is. Ask by email or in the portal assistant, and you will get the latest status recorded for your container — only ever your own containers.
1. Ask by email#
- Send your email from the address we have on file for your company — that is how we know the container belongs to you.
- Put the container number in the email (11 characters, for example ABCD1234567). One sentence is enough: "Where is container ABCD1234567?"
- You will get a reply with the ETA, the terminal last free day, the carrier last free day, any hold, and whether the container can be picked up.
2. Ask in the portal assistant#
- Log in to the portal and open the assistant. Ask in your own words, for example "Where is my container ABCD1234567?" or "Which of my containers can be picked up?"
- Docklify feature used here: the portal assistant answers from the same container records you see in Drayage → Tracking in the portal, scoped to your account.
3. The data time on every answer#
- Every status answer ends with a "Data as of" time. That is when the status was last updated — check it before making decisions like sending a truck.
- If live tracking is not connected for a container yet, the answer says so plainly and the figures are the latest records in the system — they may not be real-time.
- Docklify feature used here: container tracking in the portal (Drayage → Tracking) shows the same data time, so you can cross-check the answer there any time.
4. Questions that go to a person#
Questions about fees, bills, refunds, damage, or anything money-related are always handled by a person, not by an automated answer. You will get a short acknowledgement first, and a specialist will follow up — automated replies never confirm amounts or outcomes.
