Document status: RMA, YMS appointments & general rules

Status flows for RMA returns and YMS yard appointments, plus the rules every document shares: cancelled, draft, and partial completion.

RMA (return)#

• requested — customer requested a return.
• approved — return approved.
• receiving — warehouse is receiving the return.
• completed — terminal state.
• rejected — terminal state.

YMS yard appointment#

• scheduled — appointment booked.
• checked_in — truck entered the yard.
• checked_out — truck left, terminal state.
• cancelled — terminal state.
• no_show — truck never arrived, terminal state.
• expired — appointment expired, terminal state.

General rules for all documents#

Cancelled

Almost every document has a cancelled status. Once cancelled, it is a terminal state — it cannot be changed back to any other status.

Draft

Documents in draft can be freely edited or deleted. They do not affect inventory and do not generate bills.

Partial completion

• partial_fulfilled — order partially shipped.
• partially_received — purchase order partially arrived.

Partial completion is not a terminal state — you can keep working on the document until everything is done.
