Connect eBay: pull orders in, push fulfillment out

Last updated 2026-11-01

Get your App ID and Cert ID from eBay Developers Program, paste them into Integration, test, map, activate — orders flow in and fulfillment flows back.

The eBay connector pulls orders from your eBay store into OMS through the eBay Sell API, and pushes inventory and fulfillment back to eBay. It also pulls returns and can push products and inventory, so stock and shipping stay in sync on both sides.

eBay connection steps: credentials first, then test, then mapping, then activate.

Prerequisites#

  • An eBay seller account with listings you can sell and ship.
  • Access to eBay Developers Program to view your Application keys for Production.
  • For a first test, use the sandbox first — set Use sandbox to "true" and test before switching to production.

Get your credentials#

  1. Go to eBay Developers Program → Application keys → Production.
  2. Copy the App ID. This is your OAuth Client ID — you will paste it into the Client ID (App ID) field in Integration.
  3. On the same page, copy the Cert ID. This is your OAuth Client Secret — you will paste it into the Client Secret (Cert ID) field in Integration.
The Cert ID is shown once — save it somewhere safe right away. Do not swap the two values: App ID goes to Client ID, Cert ID goes to Client Secret.

Fill it into Integration#

  1. Open Integration → Connector Marketplace → eBay → New connection.
  2. Client ID (App ID) — required: paste the App ID you copied from Application keys → Production. It is used as the OAuth Client ID.
  3. Client Secret (Cert ID) — required: paste the Cert ID from the same page. It is used as the OAuth Client Secret, encrypted at rest and never echoed back.
  4. User access token — optional: paste a user token from the OAuth authorization code flow if you have one (valid for 2 hours); it is then used directly for Sell API calls. Leave it empty and the system automatically exchanges your client credentials for a short-lived app token.
  5. Use sandbox — optional text: fill "true" to test against the sandbox (api.sandbox.ebay.com). For production, leave it empty.

Test the connection#

Click Test connection. The test exchanges your credentials for a token and probes the eBay API — a pass means the App ID, Cert ID, and environment all match. If it fails, note the error code and check the FAQ below before changing anything else.

Mapping / pick a template#

Pick the eBay standard template. It maps order number, line SKUs, quantities, ship-to address, and fulfillment status. Check the mapping preview with one real order before activating — especially that every eBay SKU is paired to an OMS product.

eBay order round-trip: orders and returns in, fulfillment and inventory back.

Activate#

After activation, Integration pulls new orders and returns on the schedule you set, and pushes fulfillment with tracking numbers and inventory changes back to eBay. Watch the first few orders in Runs / Logs before trusting it unattended.

FAQ#

Test fails with 401

The credentials do not match: most often the App ID and Cert ID were swapped, or one of them was copied with a missing character or an extra space, so the token exchange is rejected.

Go back to eBay Developers Program → Application keys → Production, copy the App ID into Client ID (App ID) and the Cert ID into Client Secret (Cert ID) exactly as shown, then test again.

Sandbox and production are mixed up

The environment and the keys do not match: Use sandbox is filled with "true" so calls go to api.sandbox.ebay.com, but the App ID and Cert ID you pasted are production keys — or the reverse.

Make the pair match and test again: for production, leave Use sandbox empty and use the Production keys; for testing, fill "true" and use sandbox keys for that same connection.

Connected but no orders pulled

The connection itself is fine: the store simply has no new orders in the pull range, so there is nothing to import yet.

Place a test order in your eBay store, check that its time falls inside the pull range, then run a manual pull and confirm the order appears in the preview or in Runs / Logs.

SKU shows as unmapped

The SKU on the eBay order line does not match any OMS product, so the line cannot be imported until it is paired.

Open the pending tab in Product Mapping, pair each eBay SKU to the correct OMS product, save, then run the preview or pull again.
