Dispatch Center: reading smart recommendations

How the 9-dimension score is built, what each line of the explanation means, and how to read the DAT price comparison.

Open any pending order and the drawer shows ranked recommendations — 🥇🥈🥉. Each card carries one plain sentence explaining the ranking, the 9 score bars, the live distance, a backhaul tag when the truck is on the way, and the DAT price comparison.

The 9 score dimensions#

  • Distance 20%: live GPS distance from the truck to the pickup point — not the garage, not the last drop.
  • Equipment 15% + Time window 15%: does the trailer type fit, and can it make the appointment?
  • Price 10% + History 10%: quoted rate, and this carrier’s on-time/accept record with you.
  • Traffic 10% + Live location 10%: real-time ETA with traffic, and where the truck is right now.
  • Backhaul bonus (up to +10): the truck is already heading that way — pickup point within ~10 km of its route.
  • Hard filters (fail = hidden): wrong equipment, not enough HOS hours, expired documents, or blacklisted — never shown.

Reading one card#

  1. The 💡 sentence: e.g. "92 pts — 18 km away with 25-min live ETA, on the way (5 km off route), own truck $0." — the why and the why-not in one line.
  2. The 9 bars: each shows score and weight. A red bar under 50 tells you exactly where points were lost — check its note underneath.
  3. DAT comparison: "$850 vs DAT $820 +3.6%" — the quote against the market benchmark. Over +5% shows red: time to negotiate or tender.
Scores help you decide — they don’t decide for you. The dispatcher is the pilot, the system is the co-pilot: auto dispatch handles the 80% standard loads, you focus on the 20% exceptions.
