Job titles: pick from the master list, never type freehand
Job titles live in one master list per organization. HR maintains it under People → Org chart → Job Titles; employee profiles and Academy job requirements both pick from it, so a position is always spelled the same way everywhere.
Before, a job title was typed by hand on each employee profile — "Picker", "picker" and "Picker " were three different positions to the system, and Academy course requirements matched by exact spelling, so a small typo silently broke the match. Now titles are master data: maintained once, picked everywhere.
For HR: maintain the list#
- Open People → Org chart → the "Job Titles" tab.
- Add a title with the form at the top: name (required), an optional code, and a sort order that controls where it appears in dropdowns.
- Use "Edit" to rename a title or change its code/order. Renaming also updates every employee profile and Academy job requirement that uses the old name — the page asks nothing extra, it just does it.
- Mark a title as "Supervisor level" (checkbox when adding/editing, or the Supervisor level button on the row) if people in that job may approve WMS pick releases — for example when a pallet label is damaged. Organization admins and owners can always approve, regardless of job title.
- Use "Disable" for a title you no longer hire for. It leaves the dropdowns, but profiles and requirements already using it keep showing it — nothing is deleted.
Everywhere else: just pick#
- New employee and employee detail pages: the Job Title field is now a dropdown of active titles. If the list is empty, add the title first under People → Org chart → Job Titles.
- Academy → Job requirements picks from the same list — a requirement can never point at a misspelled position again.
