Preventive maintenance: service plans, a fleet calendar, due reminders

Last updated 2026-10-15

Set service plans by time or mileage ("every 5,000 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first"). The fleet calendar shows what’s due across all trucks; the due list says in plain words how soon; unplanned vehicles get a plan in one tap.

Preventive maintenance is the plan you make before something breaks: oil changes, tire checks, brake checks, annual inspections. Each plan has a cycle — time, mileage, or both ("every 5,000 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first"). The system watches every vehicle’s odometer and the calendar, and tells you in plain words: overdue, due soon, or fine.

The maintenance page: calendar + due list#

  • Top stats cards: Overdue / Due soon / OK / Vehicles without a plan — the whole fleet in four numbers.
  • Calendar view: every upcoming service drops a pin on its next due date. Tap a pin to open "Complete service".
  • Due list: plate / service item / next due (date + mileage) / plain-words status ("overdue by 3 days") / last completed / action.
  • Vehicles without a plan get one in one tap — pick a template (oil change, tires, brakes, annual inspection) and it’s done.

Complete a service#

  1. The due reminder arrives (banner + Reminder hub). Tap the task.
  2. Do the work — on the phone, confirm each job with a tap; the odometer is written back automatically.
  3. Confirm completion: the service record is written and the next due date moves forward by one cycle.
  4. Too busy this week? The overdue plan shows red until it’s done — and can become a repair work order in one tap.
Start every vehicle with the standard templates: oil change, tire check, brake check, annual inspection. Adjust the cycle after a few months once you know the truck’s real workload.
