Documents: AI auto-classification & tagging

Last updated 2026-10-15

Uploaded documents are automatically analyzed by AI: document type (contract/invoice/BOL…) plus key info like contract number, amount, dates and counterparty. Wrong tags can be corrected — corrections teach the AI.

After a document finishes text recognition (OCR), AI reads the content and tags it: the document type badge (e.g. "Contract") plus key fields such as contract/invoice number, amount with currency, important dates and the counterparty company. Each tag shows the AI confidence (green ≥80%, orange ≥50%, red below). Open any document and switch to the "AI Classification" tab to see it.

How to use it#

  1. Upload a document — classification runs automatically after OCR finishes. You can also press "Re-analyze" in the tab to run it again.
  2. Check the type badge and confidence. Green means the AI is sure; orange or red means you should double-check.
  3. If a tag is wrong, click "Correct" — pick the right type from the dropdown and fix the key fields, then save.
  4. Every correction is recorded and feeds back into the AI — it gets more accurate the more you use it.

Supported document types#

  • Contract, invoice, bill of lading (BOL), customs documents, packing list, delivery receipt (POD), shipping label, UCC label, receipt, photo, logo, and other.
  • Key info extracted: document/contract number, amount + currency, important dates, counterparty company.
  • If the AI cannot tell the type, it marks "Other" with low confidence instead of guessing.
