Yard 3D visualization: see your whole container yard at a glance
Blocks, slots, gate lanes and trailers in 3D, colored by occupancy — green means room, red means full. Click anything to see the stack detail; snapshot or live mode.
3D yard visualization turns your YMS equipment data into a visible yard: container blocks, slots, gate lanes and yard trailers, rendered in 3D in the browser — no plugin needed. Color tells you where it is empty and where it is full. Click any block or slot to see the containers stacked inside.
Where to find it#
- Open the YMS app → side menu "3D Visualization", right under Yard Map. The page is read-only.
- On the phone the side panel starts collapsed; tap the menu icon to open the filters.
The four occupancy colors#
- Green — under 30% occupied: lots of room, safe to stack here.
- Yellow — 30–70%: normal, nothing to worry about.
- Red — over 70%: almost full, stop stacking inbound containers here.
- Gray — 0% or disabled: empty, or the slot is deactivated.
Special zone marks#
- ❄ Reefer zone: slots wired for refrigerated containers (plug-in).
- ⚠ Hazmat zone: isolated area for dangerous goods — stacking rules are stricter here.
- ▣ Gate lane: white squares on the map — a filled one means a truck is on the lane right now.
What "occupancy" actually means#
The occupancy rate counts slots, not volume: occupied slots ÷ total slots in the block. A slot with any container counts as occupied, even if the stack is only one high. The legend in the left panel always shows this definition.
Snapshot mode vs live mode#
- Snapshot mode (default): shows a pre-computed aggregate. Loads fast; fine for daily checks and screenshots for reports.
- Live mode: refreshes the layout automatically every 30 seconds. A "LIVE" badge appears in the top bar. Best for watching a busy shift; equipment-level realtime push is planned.
- One tap on the top-bar switch flips between the two.
Click to see what is inside#
- Hover a block or slot: highlight outline + floating tag (code + occupancy).
- Click a block: the right drawer shows the block summary (occupancy, slot counts, reefer/hazmat flags).
- Click a slot: the drawer lists every container in that slot — unit number, type, size, stack level, dwell time, carrier and status. Containers sitting longer than 48 hours get an "Overdue" tag.
- Click a gate lane: see the truck on the lane now — unit number, tractor plate, driver and entry time.
