TMS orders: bulk import and create from a WMS load
Last updated 2026-10-16
Create many transport orders at once from a CSV/Excel file, or prefill the new-order wizard from a WMS load.
Bulk import#
- On the transport orders list, click "Bulk import". Download the Excel template first — columns: origin*, destination*, mode* (FTL/LTL/parcel), service level, carrier, weight (lb), pallets, pieces, pickup date, required delivery, tracking no., quote no., client name (* = required).
- Upload your CSV or Excel file. The page parses it in the browser and shows the first 50 rows for a quick check — fix anything in the file and re-upload.
- Click "Confirm import". Each valid row becomes a draft transport order; rows with errors are skipped. The result page lists created order numbers and every failed row with its reason — import again after fixing.
Validation rules: origin and destination are required; mode must be FTL, LTL or parcel; weights/pallets/pieces cannot be negative; dates must be YYYY-MM-DD. If client name is filled, it must match an existing client — otherwise the row fails. Max 500 rows per import.
Create from a WMS load#
- In the new-order wizard step 1, click "Pick from WMS load". The picker lists recent WMS loads (load no., type, status, ship-from → ship-to, client, linked order).
- Click "Use" on a load: origin, destination, mode and shipper are prefilled from the load. Loads that already have a transport order show "Order already created" and cannot be picked again.
- Finish the wizard and submit: the order is created with source "WMS" and the load is linked back automatically (the load shows the new transport order).
Bulk import and WMS loads cover the two big entry points: a spreadsheet of lanes to set up quickly, or a warehouse load that is ready to ship. For one-off manual orders, use "+ New order" as before.
