Filters, camera and pick path: work the 3D yard like a pro

Last updated 2026-10-16

Six stackable filters (zone, equipment type, occupancy, reefer, hazmat, overdue), mouse controls, preset views, the minimap, screenshot export and container pick-path planning.

A yard with thousands of slots is beautiful in 3D — and useless if you cannot narrow it down. The left panel holds six filters (they stack: turn on two and you get the intersection), and the camera controls plus preset views get you to the right spot fast.

The six filters#

  • Zone: show only the yard zones you care about (multi-select).
  • Equipment type: container / trailer / tractor / chassis (multi-select) — a slot shows up if it holds any selected type.
  • Occupancy range: drag the slider, e.g. 70–100% to hunt for full blocks.
  • Reefer zones only / Hazmat zones only: jump straight to the special areas.
  • Overdue only: slots holding a container that has sat in the yard longer than 48 hours.

Camera: mouse + presets + minimap#

  • Top / Gate / Walk presets in the top bar: overview, gate close-up, or ground-level walkthrough.
  • Drag to rotate, scroll to zoom, right-drag to pan. Double-click a block to fly to it.
  • Minimap (bottom-right): the blue dot is your camera, the line is where it looks. Click anywhere on the minimap to jump there.
  • Camera button (top-right): export the current view as a PNG for reports.

Plan a container pick path#

  1. Click "Pick Path" in the top bar.
  2. Type the container numbers, comma separated (e.g. TCLU 1234567, MSKU 7654321).
  3. Click "Draw path": the system orders the stops and draws the route in 3D, with the estimated driving distance.
  4. Press ▶ to fly the route stop by stop; "Clear" removes it. Read-only — it never changes any work order.
Stops without 3D coordinates are skipped — that means the container is not in the published 3D layout (wrong yard, or the layout is stale). The message tells you how many were skipped.
